Meet the Stephens Beef Cattle Family
The people behind the operation
Jeff & Angie Stephens
Jeff and Angie Stephens purchased the farm in 1997. They have two children, Morgan and Jordan. Going beyond the beef cattle operation, Jeff started Stephens Hay & Straw LLC in 2006. Jeff worked for FM Energy for 25 years prior to going full-time for the farming operation. Angie is an administrative assistant for Fleming County Schools and has been in this role for the past 17 years.
Jordan Stephens
Jordan is the son of Jeff and Angie Stephens. He is married to Catherine Collier. Catherine helps with our website design and maintenance. She owns a photography business & online western boutique. Jordan is a graduate of Black Hawk College with an Associate of Science degree. He was a member of the livestock judging team under Coach Blake Bloomberg. Jordan has won many awards within the industry, including the 2022 Junior Simmental Herdsman of the Year award and the 2021 Bill Couch award. Jordan grew up showing Angus, SimAngus and Simmental cattle. He was active in his local 4-H/FFA chapter, where he served as chapter president and regional secretary. He also served as the Kentucky Junior Simmental Association president. Catherine grew up showing Angus cattle. Jordan currently works at Four Corner Farms in Illinois full-time but plans to return to the family operation in the future.
Will & Morgan Blaydes
Morgan is the daughter of Jeff and Angie Stephens and is married to Will Blaydes. She works as a speech-language pathologist for Fleming County Schools. Will is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture with a major in Animal Science and minor in Agriculture Economics. Will works full-time for the operation and plays a vital role in managing herd health, breeding decisions, and show and sale preparation. Will primarily showed Limousin cattle throughout his junior career and served on the North American Jr. Limousin Association Board and Kentucky Jr. Cattlemen's Board. Morgan showed SimAngus and Simmental cattle. Will and Morgan first met in the cattle industry.
